ANGELA NIKOLAU

Angela Nikolau is a neo-artist working at the intersection of extreme performance, human experience, technology, and painting. In her practice, she transforms real-life experiences on the edge of human capabilities into works of art. By placing her body in situations of extreme risk on rooftops, towers, and other architectural heights; she explores fear, vulnerability, and human potential. These lived moments become the raw material for her artistic language and are then translated into visual art objects, allowing the viewer not just to observe, but to empathize with and experience the artist's state of mind.

An artist who explores the limits of human experience through real-life, edge-of-reality performances, the recording of neurophysiological data, and their translation into visual and material forms of art.

Angela Nikolau has gained international recognition for her extreme artistic actions on architectural heights around the world. She is the main subject of several documentaries, including Skywalkers: A Love Story; a feature-length Netflix documentary that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival before its global release on Netflix.

Today, her practice continues to evolve as a multidisciplinary artistic system that unites extreme performance, biometric data, technology, and painting into a single artistic language.
